Remember When You Thought You Could Conquer The World?

Remember when you thought you could conquer the world?

Well, what if you can?

Who knows what is possible?

Who knows what is practical?

You don't know for certain until you try.

Is it possible/practical for you to...

...write an entire novel?

...take the time to fully edit a novel?

...land an agent?

...get published?

...sell well?

Lots of people think they can answer these questions for you - but they can't.

Only you can answer these questions.

You can either answer them with a "No," and that will make it truth. Or you can answer them with a "Let's find out."

Nothing is impossible until you decide that it is.

Keep writing, Dear Writer.

Cheers.
~J

  1. Very wise words. And something to consider when one is on the verge of throwing the towel in (hypothetically speaking... of course). Spot on as usual J.M

  2. Being able to truthfully answer 'yes' to one out of five makes me pretty darn happy. I'm working hard on number two, hence my dwindling online presence. I have ambitious plans for a late night tonight. Time to start the coffee.

  4. I am stuck on the initial question, "Remember when you thought you could conquer the world?" My world, my life is not a single mountain. It is a mountain range. I have an entire continent of peaks to scale and conquer. I stand on the side of the one I am currently attacking and pause, looking over my shoulder at all that I have already traversed...and then the other direction, at what lies ahead. This is amazing, treacherous and so much better than base camp. You are right, nothing is impossible until you decide it is impossible.
