Today, I have terrific news to share with you:
I have been offered a publishing deal with Atticus Books for my novel, The Great Lenore.
What does this mean for you?
It means that I will (officially) now be active on this website and on Twitter once again (a big "Thank you" to all of you who have patiently awaited this epic return).
You'll find two or three posts per week on here - in which we will discuss the usual things pertaining to life, literature, and being awesome - and you will also find the Weekend Writing Discussion each Friday.
Tomorrow, I will give you a more in-depth look at the publishing deal and the process I went through to reach this point, so be sure to return!
The Great Lenore will be in stores Summer 2011, and it will be available for pre-order sometime early next year. I will, of course, keep you updated! In the meantime, feel free to let your reader-friends know that they should drop by and check out this page and sample the sample of The Great Lenore.
Cheers!
~JM

Congratulation!
ReplyDeleteCongrats, JM! Do you have an agent or did you sell it to the publisher yourself? I'm anxiously awaiting word back from several NYC agents... Can't wait to read your book!
ReplyDeleteArief - Thanks! And thanks for being a frequent stopper-byer on the site!
ReplyDeleteChris - Thanks for spreading the love on Twitter; much appreciated! I had a pedigree agent last year, went that route for a while, things fell apart, and the story continued. Several months ago, I stumbled across Atticus Books's website and fell in love with them. I approached them with my book, and - one of those things! - everything worked out. Good luck with the agents! There are certainly cons to working with agents, but there are definite pros as well.
Hearing your news made my day, Jordan. Congrats. Must say I'm just a little envious. Ha.
ReplyDeleteSuper big congrats! I'm looking forward to the posts and hearing about the journey and all the excitement yet to come!
ReplyDeleteMark - Thanks! Ha, no need for envy - it's on the way for you as well!
ReplyDeleteMargosita - I will do my best to make the posts well worthy of your time!
Woohoo! Huge congrats!
ReplyDeleteTawna
Tawna - thanks so much! Around the time when I first came across your blog, you had just signed your publishing deal. It feels nice to join you on that path. And now...to grow my readership and build awareness of my writing just as you have done!
ReplyDeleteJordan that's awesome! Can't wait to check it out.
ReplyDeleteYou are greatness!!!
ReplyDeleteJordan, Congratulations! Dreams do come true. Many blessings and best wishes.
