The story went like this...
A group of girls went to Vegas for the bachelorette party. All the girls pitched in and got the bride (we'll call her Samantha) a male stripper. So...yada yada, the male stripper came to the room and, you know, stripped and stuff. Everyone had a great time. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, and so on.
A week or two later, Samantha got married.
Nine months after that, Samantha had a baby. The baby came out with curly hair and dark skin. Samantha was caucasian. So was Samantha's husband. The male stripper from the bachelorette party, on the other hand, was African American.
Yeah. You don't get pregnant just from watching a male stripper.
The story ended there, so I never found out what happened with the marriage/child. It's probably best that way - a story like this is most optimal when you can concoct your own ending.
I thought about the story on our way to the hotel. I figured...Okay, perhaps Samantha and her husband had some issues before they were married; she cheated on him, and - who knows - maybe he cheated on her; but maybe they worked out all their issues throughout that first year of marriage; maybe they reached that 9-month mark with every issue behind them, and with a really strong relationship beginning to grow around them. What then? How do you think the guy reacted?
My guess? - he probably left her. I wonder whether that would be the right decision.
It's nice to listen in on conversations such as that one. It's even nicer to muse. It's a story, after all. I wonder how it ended.

Haven't actually read the post yet (but I will). I just wanted to comment on the hilarity of the phrase "dropping eaves." Probably common, but I'd never heard it. And yes, I do know what you're talking about. You're talking about "character research."
