Lonely Hunter

While I was working on Eat To Stay Alive, I came across a short poem I wrote last year. I like this poem. Perhaps you'll like it too.

The Lonely Hunter

The words of the lonely hunter
Float through the lonely night
And loneliness echoes all around him
Though he fights it with all of his might
His thoughts are cold and empty
They stretch down the sultry plain
They blind his eyes and steal his heart
To his life and his joy they're a bane
"Give me something!" but the world answers not
The barren Serengeti is silent
He falls to his knees and cries to the heavens
Lamenting his sorry beguilement

Hope all is well in your world, Dear Reader.

Cheers.
